Photo Voter ID Overruled by Activist Court

Democrats required a Photo ID at their national convention in Philadelphia this week.
Democrats required a Photo ID at their national convention in Philadelphia this week.

A liberal, activist court sided with Hillary Clinton, Roy Cooper and George Soros by striking down North Carolina’s common sense voter ID law. They didn’t even look at the evidence before making a decision! This is a disgrace to all law-abiding North Carolinians.

The law required that one show an approved Photo Voter ID and was approved by the North Carolina General Assembly to stop illegal voting activities.

Even the Democratic National Committee required photo Voter ID at their convention this week in Philadelphia. (see photo, left)

The topic is now trending on Twitter and other social media.  Liberals, of course, are crowing about this, while conservatives are unhappy with what was  a very fair law.

Governor Pat McCrory (R-NC) had this to say:

“Photo IDs are required to purchase Sudafed, cash a check, board an airplane or enter a federal court room. Yet, three Democratic judges are undermining the integrity of our elections while also maligning our state. We will immediately appeal and also review other potential options.”

Dallas Woodhouse, NCGOP executive director added:

“Today, Roy Cooper and North Carolina Democrats were successful in overruling the will of the people who vastly support North Carolina’s protections against voter fraud.”

“The voter ID law has already been put into place and was successful in its implementation this year, despite the false predictions from the left. Preserving integrity at the ballot box is just plain common sense, but

Roy Cooper and his liberal allies used endless lawsuits to throw our citizens under the bus.The people of North Carolina deserve a system that ensures every voter is who they say they are as they rightfully cast their vote.”

Thankfully, conservative organizations are vowing to fight on!

We can prevent decisions like this in the future by refusing to elect Hillary.  The President handles federal judicial appointments like the one on the 4th Circuit.  We have seen eight years of Obama’s liberal cronies do his bidding at federal agencies such as the FCC, the Dept. of Educations, and more.  We simply cannot afford to continue this.

We must keep Gov. McCrory in office  as it’s clear that Attorney General Roy Cooper will not ever fight for NC law and order.  Cooper is running for Governor against McCrory.

Update:  The three judges that ruled against Photo Voter Id were all Democrats.  Two were appointed by President Obama and one was appointed by former President Bill Clinton.

Roy Cooper Complains Again…

images-3As if he hasn’t complained enough about Governor Pat McCrory, Democrat Roy Cooper is harping on North Carolina’s updated voter laws.

In an e-mail to supporters, Cooper moaned that Photo Voter ID and fewer early voting days “can’t be fair”.

He whined that this means that “eligible voters are denied their rights to vote”.

Cooper, the likely Democrat nominee, did not support the reforms made to voting laws in 2014 by the NC General Assembly and supported by Gov. McCrory.  Those laws  take the fraud out of North Carolina elections.

Liberal groups such as the NAACP and Democracy North Carolina fought against the law.

Beginning this year, Voters must show a photo Voter ID at their polling place.  Photo IDs are available FREE at your local NC Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)..

Moral Monday Union Backs Roy Cooper, Others

images-2It’s true, the so-called “Moral Monday” backers, the AFL-CIO, have issued endorsements.  Shamefully, they have endorsed Roy Cooper for Governor.

Cooper has never stood up for North Carolina values, instead preferring to bury his head in the sand over issues like Obamacare. Cooper is the probable Democrat nominee to run against Governor Pat McCrory.

According to the Civitas Institute, The Moral Monday agenda would cost taxpayers $10 billion, forcing a tax increase of $4,000 on every family of four.

“Estimates now reach an eye-popping $10 billion to pay for the “people’s agenda.” That would mark a whopping 50 percent increase in the state budget. To fund the “Moral Monday” demands would cost every man, woman in child in North Carolina roughly an additional $1,000. That amounts to adding another $4,000 in taxes to the tax bill of each family of four.” (“Moral Monday Price Tag Grows – Now at $10 Billion,” Civitas Institute, 6/10/2014)

Ricky Diaz, Pat McCrory for Governor spokesman, said, “Roy Cooper’s backing by the unions is no surprise, given they have bankrolled protests and relentless attacks against Governor McCrory to obstruct his efforts to rebuild North Carolina since day one.

But now that they have formally endorsed him, Roy Cooper completely owns their radical, pro-union Moral Monday agenda, which seeks to end the state’s right-to-work laws, increase the size of the state budget by 50% and increase taxes on each family in North Carolina by $4,000.”

The AFL-CIO has also endorsed Deborah Ross for US Senate, and Charles Meeker for Labor Commissioner..

NC Voter Deadlines – Don’t Be Left Out

Get up to speed with these important dates
Get up to speed with these important dates

Dates, Dates, Dates…

North Carolina’s primary election is March 15. The deadline to register to vote in the primary is February 19.

IMPORTANT: If you need to change your address or party affiliation, you also need to complete and turn in a registration form by this date.

This is important as out-of precinct-voting is not an option if you’ve lived in your current address 30 days or more as of, March 15.

Further, you must vote in the primary for the party in which you are registered by Feb 19 (unless you are unaffiliated and then you get to choose which party’s ballot to vote.)

Absentee voting by mail starts January 25. Early voting starts March 3 and ends March 12.

Don’t be someone who has to vote provisional because you let the deadline slip by!

H/T Martha Jenkins.

Roy Cooper Endorses Hillary Clinton?

Unknown-2Unknown-3North Carolina Democrats generally RUN from their national counterparts, but not Roy Cooper.  The Democrat candidate for Governor appears in a video endorsing liberal Hillary Clinton.

“Hillary Clinton represents the same failed policies of the past and would love nothing more than to bring North Carolina backwards, something she has in common with 30 year Raleigh insider Roy Cooper,” said NCGOP Chairman Hasan Harnett.
“Will Roy Cooper and former Charlotte mayor turned D.C. Democrat Anthony Foxx‘s lead and throw their support behind Hillary Clinton? Together, these Democrats would take North Carolina back to the days of higher taxes and stagnant economic growth.”
Cooper is vying for the Democrat nomination for Governor.  If he wins, he faces likely Republican nominee, Governor Pat McCrory.
