Photo Voter ID Overruled by Activist Court

Democrats required a Photo ID at their national convention in Philadelphia this week.
Democrats required a Photo ID at their national convention in Philadelphia this week.

A liberal, activist court sided with Hillary Clinton, Roy Cooper and George Soros by striking down North Carolina’s common sense voter ID law. They didn’t even look at the evidence before making a decision! This is a disgrace to all law-abiding North Carolinians.

The law required that one show an approved Photo Voter ID and was approved by the North Carolina General Assembly to stop illegal voting activities.

Even the Democratic National Committee required photo Voter ID at their convention this week in Philadelphia. (see photo, left)

The topic is now trending on Twitter and other social media.  Liberals, of course, are crowing about this, while conservatives are unhappy with what was  a very fair law.

Governor Pat McCrory (R-NC) had this to say:

“Photo IDs are required to purchase Sudafed, cash a check, board an airplane or enter a federal court room. Yet, three Democratic judges are undermining the integrity of our elections while also maligning our state. We will immediately appeal and also review other potential options.”

Dallas Woodhouse, NCGOP executive director added:

“Today, Roy Cooper and North Carolina Democrats were successful in overruling the will of the people who vastly support North Carolina’s protections against voter fraud.”

“The voter ID law has already been put into place and was successful in its implementation this year, despite the false predictions from the left. Preserving integrity at the ballot box is just plain common sense, but

Roy Cooper and his liberal allies used endless lawsuits to throw our citizens under the bus.The people of North Carolina deserve a system that ensures every voter is who they say they are as they rightfully cast their vote.”

Thankfully, conservative organizations are vowing to fight on!

We can prevent decisions like this in the future by refusing to elect Hillary.  The President handles federal judicial appointments like the one on the 4th Circuit.  We have seen eight years of Obama’s liberal cronies do his bidding at federal agencies such as the FCC, the Dept. of Educations, and more.  We simply cannot afford to continue this.

We must keep Gov. McCrory in office  as it’s clear that Attorney General Roy Cooper will not ever fight for NC law and order.  Cooper is running for Governor against McCrory.

Update:  The three judges that ruled against Photo Voter Id were all Democrats.  Two were appointed by President Obama and one was appointed by former President Bill Clinton.

Trump Debate Debacle – University A Sham

FoxNewsDebate-300x169Thursday night’s Republican Presidential debate devolved into a a rowdy atmosphere, according to those in Detroit’s Fox Theater.

The audience cheered and booed during the question and answer session which seemed to grow out-of-control as the candidates began interrupting one another.   It was one step short of a free-for-all.

The hall was so beautiful that it was too grand for the low-life debate.

Normally, Republican candidates are good about sticking to the issues, with a few cleverly contrived jabs tossed in.

Thursday’s debate was no-holds-barred.

The camera panned to moderators Bret Baier and Megan Kelly catching them with looks of confusion at one another.

The name calling was beyond low.  Mothers usually teach their children always not to  resort to name calling.  When name-calling begins,  you have reduced yourself to the other person’s level.   In this case, Marco Rubio fell prey to Donald Trump‘s school yard bully type insults.  Rubio looked frustrated but managed a few  clever comebacks.

For example, Trump repeatedly called Rubio “this little guy”, and “little Marco”.

Rubio replied “Donald Trump has basically mocked everybody with personal attacks.  If there is anyone who has ever deserved to be attacked that way, it’s Donald Trump.

Trump called Ted Cruz “lyin’ Ted” and constantly said “You are a liar”.  At one point, Cruz shot back “breathe”.  Another was “Donald, learn not to interrupt.  Count to ten  ”

At one point, it seemed that Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio verbally tag-teamed Trump.  Planned or not, this tactic was long overdue. Many feel they should team up, decide who will head either  a Rubio/Cruz or Cruz/Rubio ticket, and together, take down Donald Trump.

A large part of the debate involved the “Trump University” lawsuits.

At the former Trump University, students were offered access to Trump’s hand-picked real estate experts.  In exchange for roughly $1,500 students attended classes that were actually “taught” by a non-experts from a contact company.    Students were not mentored by real estate experts as promised by Trump.

During the classes, little was taught yet the instructors constantly implied that a visit from Donald Trump himself was imminent.  Additionally, students received high pressure sales pitches for more expensive course packages.

Trump never picked any instructors and a third-party company created the curricula and materials.  This company, which shall go unnamed, normally developes materials for motivational speakers and time-share rental companies.  That’s a far cry from real estate experts.

Trump University has changed its name and is still operating, but now faces three lawsuits.

During and after the debate,  conservative and liberal discussion groups on Facebook, generally agreed that a Trump nomination would lead to certain defeat at the hands of Hillary Clinton.

Tillis: WOTUS Expands Govt, Regulations

This week, Senate Democrats blocked a vote to override President Obama’s veto of legislation disapproving of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule, which would enforce crippling regulations on local communities and small businesses across the nation.

Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) remarked:

“The Obama Administration’s WOTUS rule is the latest federal government land grab that will expand the scope of federal authority over land and water at the expense of farmers, ranchers, landowners and business owners across the country. Under this rule, virtually every nook and cranny of the country will be subject to EPA control, and

I am disappointed with this Administration’s never-ending attempts to add layer upon layer of bureaucratic red tape for hard-working Americans to deal with.”

Senator Tillis spoke on the Senator floor about the WOTUS rule in November:

Roy Cooper Endorses Hillary Clinton?

Unknown-2Unknown-3North Carolina Democrats generally RUN from their national counterparts, but not Roy Cooper.  The Democrat candidate for Governor appears in a video endorsing liberal Hillary Clinton.

“Hillary Clinton represents the same failed policies of the past and would love nothing more than to bring North Carolina backwards, something she has in common with 30 year Raleigh insider Roy Cooper,” said NCGOP Chairman Hasan Harnett.
“Will Roy Cooper and former Charlotte mayor turned D.C. Democrat Anthony Foxx‘s lead and throw their support behind Hillary Clinton? Together, these Democrats would take North Carolina back to the days of higher taxes and stagnant economic growth.”
Cooper is vying for the Democrat nomination for Governor.  If he wins, he faces likely Republican nominee, Governor Pat McCrory.

Anthony Foxx Looks for Job in Clinton Admin?

Former Charlotte Mayor and current US DOT Secretary, Anthony Foxx
Former Charlotte Mayor and current US DOT Secretary, Anthony Foxx

Anthony Foxx apparently wants to stay employed.  He wants to stay in government so desperately that he endorsed Hillary Clinton for President.  Talk about stooping.   Today, the U.S. Secretary of Transportation traveled to Iowa to make his “big” announcement.

Everyone wants to stay employed but is it really necessary for him to do this?  Does the Charlotte mayor carry that much weight in his party? Would she actually keep him in her administration?  Is that how she will hand out her political favors?

Let’s support the Republican nominee and not be forced to find out..

Liberal Z. Smith Reynolds Funds Anti-Police Hate Group

Ignite NC is an anti-cop hate group that is organizing demonstrations against the UNC Board of Governors.
Ignite NC is an anti-cop hate group that is organizing demonstrations against the UNC Board of Governors.

The liberal Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, is at it again.

According to the Carolina Partnership for Reform, ZSR funded Ignite NC, an anti-cop hate group that is organizing angry demonstrations against incoming UNC President Margaret Spellings and the UNC Board of Governors (BOG).

Ignite NC is one of the radical fringe groups demanding the BOG fire Spellings before she takes office. Along with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU, with whom SEANC is affiliated), Ignite NC attempted to disrupt a recent BOG meeting.

Ignite NC is a project of the Southern Vision Alliance which is funded by the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation.

On their website, Ignite NC endorses Black Lives Matter, accusing the police of ”murdering ” Michael Brown in the shooting that sparked the Ferguson, Missouri riots. (We all know EVERY LIFE MATTERS.)

They state:

“Young people across the country are building a movement against police violence in our communities. The movment began as grand jury’s decided not to indict the officers involved in the murdering of Mike Brown and Eric Garner. People have taken to the streets to disrupt business as usual and demand that power holders take action and law enforcement be held accountable. Ignite NC stands with the #BlackLivesMatters movement. We have helped with actions, die-ins, rallies and protests throughout NC. Take a look at some of the pictures from actions.”

However,

No less an authority than President Obama’s Justice Department proved the murder claim Ignite NC perpetuates is a lie.

The Justice Department adds:

“The U.S. Department of Justice has cleared the air with its detailed and authoritative investigation into the death of unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown last August in Ferguson, Missouri. Its important conclusion? Former Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson, who is white, did not violate the civil rights of Brown when he shot and killed the black teenager last August.

The encounter sparked protests in Ferguson and beyond and revealed distrust between police and many in the black community.

The Carolina Partnership for Reform says:

“Belief that Wilson shot Brown in cold blood as he tried to surrender continues to circulate; it ought to be put to rest by the Justice Department’s report.

Credible witness accounts and DNA evidence instead confirm a struggle while Wilson was still in his patrol car, as Wilson testified, and that Wilson fired on Brown after Brown charged him in the street, according to the Justice Department report.

Repeating a lie that a policeman murdered Michael Brown ought to qualify Ignite NC as a hate group. And supporting Black Lives Matter, an organization advocating cop killing, clearly makes Ignite NC a hate group.

When Jihadists were slaughtering people in San Bernadino, Ignite NC, Black Lives Matter and the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation didn’t run toward the danger. The police did. Mrs. Spellings and the BOG should stand up against the cop haters. Toss their demands in the trash .”

CPFR adds this thought: When President Ross left the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, former UNC BOG General Counsel Leslie Winner took his place.

They should show some class and tell their foundation buddies to stop funding groups trafficking in violence inciting hate against the police.

The Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation was once lead by outgoing UNC President Thomas Ross.

Whispers….Roy Cooper

UnknownWord on the street is that Roy Cooper (D), candidate for North Carolina Governor, recently met behind closed doors with SEANC on Saturday.

Members of the state employees union used to get paid time off to attend their conventions, until Gov. Pat McCrory put a stop to it.

Would have loved to have been a fly-on-the-wall in that room!  Wonder what they spoke of…?  That group has certainly seen troubles lately with their former leader spending time in jail.  More to come..

More Bad News for Roy Cooper says NCGOP

Attorney General Roy Cooper has long planned to run for Governor in NC
Attorney General Roy Cooper has long planned to run for Governor in NC

The  North Carolina Republican Party said Thursday,  they have uncovered more bad news for conservatives regarding Roy Cooper.

Chairman Claude Pope, Jr wrote:

“Last week, our part-time Attorney General Roy Cooper sent out another fundraising pitch and questionnaire, this time asking people to ‘pick 3-4 issues that are most important to you’ as the General Assembly reconvenes. What’s really telling are the issues he doesn’t mention – like veterans, law enforcement, transportation infrastructure, taxes and spending, and the number one issue facing North Carolina – jobs and the economy.”

The Beagle visited the probable Democratic nominee’s site and found the following choices:

Not one of them mentioned the economy without regarding spending more taxpayer money.

  • “Transparency in campaign finance law” is code speak for government regulations and government financing of elections.  The Beagle believes we need to stay as far away from that as possible.
  • “Protecting and improving access to healthcare” is code speak for Cooper’s support of Obama Care.
  • Social conservatives will not like “protecting women’s health care choices.”  That’s his way of saying “Do you support abortion rights?”

Liberals just don’t understand that most conservatives are middle-class Americans, because they work hard for what they have.  “Millionaires” as they call anyone who earns over $250k, own companies that provide jobs to Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, and unaffiliated voters.

Chairman Pope added:

“The Attorney General Should be embarrassed over this liberal-based questionnaire.”  He added that Cooper is getting his talking points from President Obama, Harry Reid and other liberals in Washington.

What do you think?  Weigh in and share your opinions..

Group Front for Cooper, Treat Governor Unfairly say NC Republicans – Updated

North Carolina Republican Party
North Carolina Republican Party

According to the North Carolina Republican Party:

Progress NC is a mere front for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Roy Cooper.  Cooper is expected to run against Governor Pat McCrory next year.

Read on:

Following news that liberal hatchet man Gerrick Brenner and his extreme front group Progress NC Action will file a political complaint against Governor McCrory, North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Claude E. Pope Jr. released the following statement:

“This snide group is nothing but a front for the left wing extremists in North Carolina, like Roy Cooper, to launch unfounded and baseless attacks against Republicans. It’s sad that these extremists spend more time focused on media manufactured political problems instead of working with Governor McCrory to continue his successful record of improving North Carolina’s economy and decreases in unemployment.”

Shady tactics?  Sounds like a nasty way to draw fire away from a very damaged North Carolina Democratic Party.

NC Democratic Party Scandals

UPDATE: Governor McCrory’s office has weighed in thusly:

“Do you ever notice how fringe groups like Progress NC get favorable treatment from the Main Stream Media – free of charge? Groups from the far left like Progress NC – led by a former television reporter – can make bogus complaints and the media will carry it no matter what. This has gone on for years. No more!”

Former John Edwards Aide Charged with DWI

John Edwards photo looks sad
Disgraced former US Senator, John Edwards, leaves court.

The Raleigh News and Observer is reporting today that former aide to John Edwards (D-NC), Andrew Young, has been charged in Raleigh with a DWI.  The book is entitled The Politician: An Insider’s Account of John Edward’s Pursuit of the Presidency and the Scandal The Brought Him Down.

This is sad news for the man who wrote in his book, that he was “sucked in” by the John Edwards charisma and was a mere victim.

Andrew Young photo
Andrew Young, left, was a longtime aide to former US Senator John Edwards

Edwards however, is a bit of a different story.  The former one-term United States Senator rose to fame after winning a seven-figure lawsuit for a little girl who was injured in a swimming pool.

He bankrolled his way to the United States Senate, and was later nominated for vice president. He then ran for the primary for president in 2008.  He later became the butt of national jokes after his personal life was revealed.

Edwards’ life is still on trial, in one form or another, today.

Andrew Young was his personal aide who hid Edwards’ mistress, their daughter and their sex tape.
